Help Us Build Hope Place

September 7, 2026 // admin

At Hope Place, our long-term vision is to establish a residential shelter and community hub where individuals experiencing housing instability can find safety, practical life skills, and a path toward permanent independence.

We are actively working behind the scenes to secure our first property and build our core programs—but winter isn’t waiting, and neither can we.

As cold weather approaches, neighbors in our community are facing the elements without shelter or basic supplies today. While we build the foundation for our future facility, we are starting where we are to meet immediate, life-saving needs right now.

Here is how you can stand with us this winter:

1. Support Our Winter Warmth Drive

We are collecting essential items to help unhoused community members stay safe and warm. Even small items make a profound difference when temperatures drop.

  • What We Need: Warm socks, heavy blankets, hand/foot warmers, winter coats, boots, gloves, personal hygiene items, and non-perishable meals.
  • How to Give: Check out our [Winter Warmth Drive Page] for our full wish list. Have items to donate? [Contact Us] to schedule a pickup—we will gladly come to you!

2. Make a Financial Contribution

Financial gifts fuel both our immediate outreach and our long-term setup costs.

  • We use Zeffy for online giving, which means 100% of your donation goes directly to Hope Place with zero platform or processing fees deducted.
  • (Note: Zeffy gives donors the option to add a voluntary tip to support their free platform. If you prefer not to, simply select $0 at checkout, and your full donation still reaches us!)

Please note: Hope Place is currently awaiting official 501(c)(3) approval; donations are not tax-deductible at this time.

3. Spread the Word & Share Resources

Help us build momentum! You can support Hope Place by telling friends and family about our mission, sharing our posts, or connecting us with local partners. We are also actively searching for a suitable property for our future home—such as a motel, multi-unit residential building, or commercial property that can be repurposed into studio apartments for transitional housing. If you know of a property owner or a potential site in our area, please let us know!

We don’t have our doors open yet, but we have a vision, a plan, and the heart to make a difference today. Sometimes helping someone move forward starts with a simple question: “What can we do right now?”

Right now, we can keep someone warm. We can let our neighbors know they aren’t forgotten. And together, we can lay the brickwork for a stronger community.
